So I'm looking to meet some new people at this event. I've been forcing myself to get out the last couple of weeks, but I find it's sooooo tough to walk in all alone and just start up a conversation. Anyone else in the same boat? A simple introduction would really help break the ice, so I'm going to challenge myself to say hi to 5 new people. Anyone else willing to do the same? Please say yes!

Of course, we're also, unfortunately, committed to attending the Pogues concert tonight (SEE! - Shane MacGowan's LAST remaining TOOTH!) and may not make it to the tribe festivities until late o'clock. -

Looks like I am going to meet Leslie nearby for dinner...not sure where yet or if it will have enough room for a bigger group but I did consider seeing if anyone wanted to meet us there. and I am sure I'll say hi to Shatter when I see him so if you are nearby that should be easy! -

i was heading down there, but my car has suffered from a fuel leak today and i'm not going to make it.
i am, of course, a little pissed that my evening is not turning out the way i planned it. but i don't have a chance now, of possibly bursting into flame on the drive down. (according to my mechanic. the part that my 24-year-old wheels needs hadn't arrived as of 5pm - so i'm here wishing i was there.)
